BTS conquered the National Stadium at their sold-out concert on January 19 as part of their Love Yourself world Tour. According to Pop Alarms, BTS have reportedly made history in Singapore as they became the first K-pop act in history to sell out the country’s biggest arena, the National Stadium with a capacity of 45,000.

According to TODAY Online, the grounds at the Singapore Sports Hub resembled that of a music festival, with an electric mode, and long queues everywhere, which could put any of the Hello Kitty queues at McDonald’s to shame.

BTS definitely showed why they are managing to rake in billions of dollars for the South Korean economy, according to Straits Times. Arguably the biggest boyband in the world, BTS opened their concert with their hit song “Idol” followed by favorites such as “Save Me”, “I Need U” and “DNA”.

Straits Times added that BTS knew exactly what to do to hype up fans. V performed “Singularity”, Jimin sang a verse of his latest single, and their three rappers – Suga, RM and J-Hope – performed together.

During performances, the group threw water onto fans while striking funny poses at the official cameras projected on a big screen.

Light sticks  pulsated and changed color according to the beat. Towards the end of the concert, the light sticks spelt out “Singapore” across a section in block letters.
